This outfit is complied of almost all of my favorite clothing items. My ripped, high waisted, denim shorts (Urban Renewal), my dark purple Dr. Martens, my mini "leather" vest (Hurley), and my chunky silver ring (H&M). Then I wore my new white, button up tank (Urban Outfitters), and silver knot necklace (Nordstrom). I feel so comfortable in all of these items, which makes this outfit by far my favorite.

Going to New Lengths
I'm 5 foot 2 inches and therefore I completely wrote off maxi skirts and dresses, I thought that they would swallow me and make me look even shorter than I already am. But one day I decided to try one on, just for fun, and I discovered that not only was I totally in love, but it actually looked good, maybe even elongated me. After this amazing revelation I bought two maxi skirts from Urban Outfitters and I feel great in them!
I'm wearing my mauve/light pink maxi skirt from UO, a navy blue patterned, cropped tank and black bandeau from American Apparel, and black gladiator sandals by Sam Edelman.

Spring 2011 Picks
Now this is long overdue but here are a few of my favorite looks from the Spring 2011 collections.

Balmain: I am in love with this whole ensemble. This look oozes cool.

3.1 Phillip Lim: This is a simpler outfit than I usually gravitate towards, but the contrast of the various materials intrigued me.

Alexander McQueen: There are no words, I'm just in awe of how beautiful this dress is, the ruffle, the jewel-like pattern, the collar, everything.

Fancy Footwear
Red, White, and Blue

I was feeling patriotic in a cropped white sweater (Hurley), a blue and white polka dot skirt, and red ballet flats (French Sole). The overall feel of this outfit can be easily changed with different hairstyles. I wore my hair in a messy side braid, but you could also pull it back into a neat ballerina bun to emphasize the polished and preppy look. There are many possibilities.
