Outfit of the Day (#2)

Sometimes I throw together outfits in a rush and they turn out, well not very good, but this was a rare occasion when my quick thinking led me to success. This outfit consists of a black, v-neck, long sleeved shirt from Forever 21, an electric green high waisted skirt I found at a thrift shop, black feather earrings, a black and gold ring from Forever 21, a victorian looking purple, green, and gold ring from Jewelmint, black tights, and my favorite purple Dr. Martens. (Sorry there is no full photo of the outfit, but I did the best I could to show each piece.)

Milan Men's Fashion Week

It was just recently Milan Fashion Week for menswear and there were a lot of great collections, but my favorites would have to be Bottega Veneta and Dolce & Gabbana. I loved the grunge-like brightly colored pants, cozy sweaters, and textured blazers in Bottega Veneta's collection and the flashy velvet and sequined blazers in the Dolce & Gabbana collection.

Betsey Johnson

Ever since I saw her on ANTM a few years ago I've been in love with her designs. Betsey Johnson's personality is crazy and it shows through her designs, like these lightning bolt earrings (which I happily own), and her multitude of party dresses, even her stores are decked out in loud patterns and lots of pink. Every time I step into a Betsey Johnson store I have the urge to throw myself a sweet sixteen. Betsey, mission accomplish.

Like A Circus

This miss-matched outfit is one of my new favorites. I really wanted to wear my new H&M blazer and my Urban Renewal high-waisted shorts, from Urban Outfitters, are kind one of my go-to items. The socks were really fun because they created a look that was definitely new for me, but the item that caused the most conversation, was the jacket. People said I resembled a sailor, a referee, a prisoner, and that I should be in the Britney Spears music video for "Circus". I always forget the disability of my peers to simply appreciate fashion when I'm planning my outfits, oh well.

And Don't Forget the Bond Girls

I was recently watching a movie in French class that reminded me of the all the Bond girls. I love how they're a mix of strong and sexy, with their beautiful dresses, long legs, and jaw dropping looks they could seduce any man, and they do it while holding a gun up their dress. Watch out boys, these girls are deadly.

Kate Spade

My mom has always loved Kate Spade and a couple of years ago she got me Kate Spade luggage, which I loved (and still love), but I didn't realize my true interest in her designs until I received several fabulous items of hers for Christmas this year. A wallet, an iPhone case, a skirt and more, and I absolutely love each item. Her designs are very clean cut and I used to clump that together with boring, but after this Christmas and visiting one of her stores, I found that it is actually the opposite. The designs, as well as her stores, are all so colorful, fun and overall the aesthetic of her designs and her stores are very inviting. I am officially a huge fan!

Party Girl

I absolutely love the holidays. It's a time to share with family and friends, drink hot chocolate, and wear glam clothes! I'm in love with the craze of sequins, lace, and velvet that are all on the rise this season, and what better time to show off your "party girl" style than the winter holidays. These are some of my favorite party dresses from Forever 21, but Madonna's line at Macy's has such an awesome "party girl" look as well.
