Spring 2011 Picks

Now this is long overdue but here are a few of my favorite looks from the Spring 2011 collections.

Balmain: I am in love with this whole ensemble. This look oozes cool.

3.1 Phillip Lim: This is a simpler outfit than I usually gravitate towards, but the contrast of the various materials intrigued me.

Alexander McQueen: There are no words, I'm just in awe of how beautiful this dress is, the ruffle, the jewel-like pattern, the collar, everything.

Alberta Ferretti: As you may know I am obsessed with leather so this outfit makes me very happy. The cut of the different items are so cool together.

Badgely Mischka: I especially love the background lighting, the whole scene is very glamourous, with a little edge of course.

Fancy Footwear

I just bought this amazing pair of tan, buckle sandals from LF that I was so excited to wear. They are actually quite comfortable and such a great purchase. I wore them with white denim shorts (PacSun), a navy blue, crushed velvet tank top, a turquoise ring (Sundance) and silver hoop earrings.

Red, White, and Blue

I was feeling patriotic in a cropped white sweater (Hurley), a blue and white polka dot skirt, and red ballet flats (French Sole). The overall feel of this outfit can be easily changed with different hairstyles. I wore my hair in a messy side braid, but you could also pull it back into a neat ballerina bun to emphasize the polished and preppy look. There are many possibilities.

Light up My Life

In honor of my new favorite spring trend, in this outfit, I wore a bright coral/pink t-shirt, denim shorts, and a white and gold stranded necklace from Nordstrom B.P., and nude colored, faux snakeskin sandals that I bought in Paris.

My Go-To Store

Once again I apologize for the horrible quality of pictures. I have yet to master that part.

I'm wearing a light blue scoop neck t-shirt (Nordstrom B.P.), a dark gray skirt (Pacsun), black and shear striped tights (Urban Outfitters), a silver chain necklace (Nordstrom B.P.), and black lace up boots (not pictured but are from Urban Outfitters).

I find myself buying most of my jewelry from Nordstrom B.P. because every time I visit the store there are new and amazing items that I can't help but love.

Keeping It Together

I feel so utterly stupid, I just now realized that my pictures have been so small because the option for photo size has been on small this entire time! But no worries, it's fixed now.

I've recently enjoyed experimenting by wearing the same color clothing on top of each other or multiple times in the same outfit. For example in this outfit I'm wearing a white blazer (Nordstrom), a faded color blocked t-shirt (Urban Outfitters), black leggings, and white oxfords (Topshop).

Smiling in the Sunshine

As I've said before, I'm so excited for bright colors in this beautiful weather that California is having right now, so I went to Zara and bought myself a great pair of pink pants! I paired them with an Aztec pattern inspired t-shirt (Urban Outfitters), and tan sandals (Sam Edelman).
