These Boots Were Made for Walkin'

I absolutely love my Doc Martens. When I first bought them I wasn't sure if I was going to wear them but now I've had people comment on how often I actually do wear them. Mine are so comfortable and I love the dark purple color, they always seem to perfect any outfit. Along with my boots I'm wearing a white t-shirt, a green army vest (LF), and a navy blue floral skirt (Nordstroms).

Versatile Items

I love finding items that many wouldn't normally wear and working them into my outfits. For example I'm wearing a black strapless dress (LF), floppy brown boots (Delia's, I've had them forever and they're falling apart, but they're one of my comfort items that I just can't let go), black tights, and a light, white beach cover-up. Yes, a beach cover-up that I bought in Hawaii recently, but I decided I couldn't let it be used only for one purpose, and viola!

One of my favorite parts of the cover-up is that there's a hood! I think it just gives it a cooler feel.

I'm sorry, it's extremely hard to see (maybe even impossible), but I'm wearing a necklace that my friend made me for a birthday present last year. It's silver and has two circles within a circle which matches the design of the cover-up.

Festive Attire

This outfit was a quick decision. It consists of my white, long sleeved, collared shirt (Delia's), a black leather vest (Hurley), patterned tights (Lulus.com), and red ballet flats (French Sole). The leggings were especially a hit with everyone, but in my opinion, my favorite leather vest really pulled the outfit together.

Leopard and Lace

First of all sorry for the small sized pictures, I'm still confused on how to enlarge them, but feel free to click on them to view a bigger picture.

In this picture I'm wearing Goldsign jeans that are a perfect length, a black lace top with a black tank under (Forever 21 for both), a gray sweater (Nordstrom), black suede boots (Cordani Calzature), and finally an awesome leopard print jacket from H&M, which wasn't the greatest choice for a rainy day... whoops!

(My hair was up by the end of my school day, which would've have been a great opportunity for me to sport some great gold earrings.)

Tea with the Queen

I went for a preppier vibe with this outfit, but also staying true to my personal style at the same time. I'm wearing a black long sleeve v-neck shirt (Forever 21), a light gray and dark gray stripped tank dress (Nordstrom), a white linen (mostly) blazer (Nordstrom), black tights, and white oxfords with crocheted sides (Topshop). And because I highly believe in accessories I finished the outfit off with a long "pearl" necklace (Nordstrom) which I tied in a knot and matching bracelet (J.Crew).

(Title inspired by Tea with the Queen nail polish by Butter, which would compliment this outfit well.)

Color Me Pretty

As excited as I am about the recent Fall 2011 collections (post soon to come), I'm even more psyched for the new spring trends. However, while many people are looking forward to the romantic lace and florals, I'm ready for a louder statement: bright, as well as rich, colors and lots of them.

In the Wrong Decade

The first time I wore this striped turtle neck I got labeled as misplaced from That 70s Show, so the next time I decided to embrace that aspect a little more and I added dark coral high waisted shorts. Although i also wore a black leather vest which kept the outfit modern. (Sorry for the weak picture quality.)
